Knaresborough is a historic market town located in the borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, a hot spot for tourists, Knaresborough is full of surprises, wandering down its medieval streets and stone staircases, you may fall upon the Knaresborough riverside. Here you can enjoy alfresco dining or a picturesque rowing boat voyage.

Also known for "The marketplace", which is still a locally run market on a Wednesday you can enjoy local wholesome food, home-baked treats, and a Yorkshire brew. With a central train station, this is yet another perfect location for commuters into the surrounding cities.

There is no doubt that Harrogate and its surrounding areas are the property investors dream. Harrogate holds some of the most impressive, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian homes in the county.

The famous Valley Gardens and Pump Room hold a wealth of history where you can enjoy morning strolls, ice cream, tennis and families can enjoy the fabulous play area and park.

The town is also famous for The Stray, which is 200 acres of open parkland situated on the south side of the town. It is protected by an Act of Parliament that it must remain at 200 acres and therefore if any is removed it must be replaced to retain the constant 200 acres.

The Great Yorkshire Show and Harrogate Flower Show are both huge draws of visitors to the town and as such bring people from far and wide both nationally and internationally.

Harrogate is also known for its independent prep and senior schools, such as Brackenfiled, Ashville College, Belmont Grosvenor, and Highfield Prep.
