Demand for rental property in Harrogate is at its highest for a number of years according to new figures from local property firm FSS.
The company, which manages over 1000 rental properties across the district, says the number of lets agreed in November was 50 per cent higher than for the same month last year.
Michael Lebbon, associate partner in the firm’s letting department said: “Demand for well-presented property is stronger than ever and the Harrogate rental market is buoyant, with the market particularly active for one, two and three bedroom properties.
“In November our numbers were up considerably for new instructions and properties let compared to last year and this robust upward trend has been noticeable throughout 2018, building on a steady rise in demand over several years.”
Michael said December was already looking set to follow the same pattern as previous months.
“One of the biggest challenges is a shortfall in supply and this should be encouraging news for property investors and those considering entering the buy-to-let market,” added Michael.
